Still using the default voicemail? Or worse—none at all? That could cost you a job!
In my last article, I told you why setting up your voicemail is a must.
Now let’s talk about what to say.
A good voicemail should include:
Your name
Why you can’t take the call
What you want from the caller
A polite tone
Here’s a quick example you can steal:
"Hi, you’ve reached [Your Name]. I can’t take your call right now—but your message is important to me. Please leave your name, number, and reason for calling, and I’ll return your call as soon as possible. Talk soon!"
🎤 Record it today—it takes 30 seconds and shows you're serious.
Happy Job hunting!
